How do I find out if an operating system software is registered

    Hi,

Just a quick question. I have svereal original sealed versions of Windows 95 and Windows 98 kicking about that I bought from a guy who works in a PC shop. He was clearing out old stock and I bought them to set up a local youth organisation with some low spec PC's.

Question is I have no use for them now, and was going to place them on e-bay for sale but am uncertain if they have been registered, how can I find out if they ahve been registered or not. The majority of them are still sealed with their CD software.

    Thanks

    Mark

If they are sealed then it makes no difference if they have been registered as you have the licence.. Also, Microsoft dont give a toss about 95 and 98 anymore ( I have called them on behaf of a customer who had lost their cd key and they just "generated" another for me with no questions asked.. )

I think i saw a book somewhere... how to sell ice to eskimos... you going to need it!

As Sploodge says, Microsoft no longer support Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 3.5 or NT 4. MS give the serial keys away for free, anyone with an MSDN account can get you as many as you like.
