    Dbilas Flowmaster for Z22SE

Spotted the Dbilas Flowmaster kits on their web site the other day so figured I might sus out their Z22SE application. My intention was to investigate a true performance filter option with a CAI as my BMC CDA is sweet but due to the nature of the Z22SE airbox I cant get outside air into the filter without major modification.
Here's the info that I've been provided by Dbilas...
    [code]Hello,
thanks a lot for your interest in our products.
For the Opel Astra G with the Z22SE engine we have a sport filter "FlowMaster" in our program.
The kit contains the FlowMaster air filter box with filter cartridge, hoses and necessary holders.
The price for the sport filter is € 199,-- incl. 16 % VAT.
Additional we could offer an air inlet dukt "FlowPipe" for € 110,20 incl. 16 % VAT.
The air inlet dukt fit with the original air filter box or with the FlowMaster.
    Advantages of the both parts:
more fresh air = - less consumption
    - better torque
    - super sound
Attention! If you order FlowMaster-System and FlowPipe you save 10 %.
Please find enclosed a picture of the FlowMaster which is fitting in the Astra G Z22SE engine.
For further questions do not hesitate to contact us.
    Best regards,

    and some pics:

I think these would beat the BMC CDA for application/installation on the 2.2 at least. However I would be interested to get some figures for sound and performance variances.

    Cheers
    Ben

I have the Dbilas inlet manifold and air duct runninning through a K&N panel filter and de-restricted box.

As you say, the nature of the air inlet manifold sitting at the front of the engine means that in effect the air flow doubles back on itself, which obviously is not ideal.

I can see this taking over from the 2.2 airbox mod for turbo owners too! Looks great!
