    Arrow Z22SE Tuning Tips...

Hi, i bought a 2.2 SRi Astra Mk4 last week, and was wondering if there are any mods which people get one with straight away (ive heard of a vectra C de-restricted intake pipe?) and any things that can be done to get fairly good power gains?

    cheers for any help, chris

First thing - de-restrict the air box, fit a Veccy inlet pipe and chuck in a panel filter. All had been covered 1000's of times before, and there are How-To to help you.

A decent cat back system will sort out the breathing at the other end. And removing the pre-cat (How-To for that as well ) will also help alot.

If you can do the work yourself, all the above will cost in the region of £400, and should see about 10-15bhp gain (conservative estimate)

Not at all, it's only required for a few secs on cold starts whilst the main cat get up to temperature. After that it is just a restriction.

Both Lambda sensors monitor the efficiency of the main cat, and any emmission test is undertaken at normal operating temp.
