Whitline strut tower brace (now with pics)

Well after waiting what seemed like for ever Whiteline have released there strut tower brace

so bring on the weekend so i can fit mine the quality is top notch

I did not do a proper how to as the fitting instructions that come with the product are very good and include photos but this is how i installed it

BEFORE YOU START IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY DRILLING HOLES IN THE STRUT TOWERS OR DROPPING THE STRUTS OUT THEN GET IT INSTALLED FOR YOU

jack up front of car and support on axle stands you need both wheels off the ground (if you dont have both wheels off the ground you will load up the front sway bar and make the job harder on your self)

    remove wheels

remove dust cap from strut tower and undo first nut on strut tower remove black top plate undo this will allow the strut to become free in the tower

    assemble the brace

move fuse box on passanger side firewall just unclip it from its mounts its easy to see when looking at it

    place on strut towers

mark and drill holes first drill a pilot hole 5mm then drill final hole 11mm

use the dome cap screws the give you and bolt the mounts to the strut towers the domes go inside the wheel well and the nuts go on the brace mount

put the top caps back on the strut over the brace tighten

    put wheels back on

    lower car and your done

I go the quick release kit as well to get to the brake fluid easier

looks like you dont have to adjust the fuse box and all which is a good thing but maybe not as good looking or as sturdy looking as the raid or the circlular ones we get over here

Looks good - I did contact whiteline and enquire about these, but all I got back was an email about cricket, and stuff I knew already.

If it's up to white lines usual standards, it'll be very good kit.

And IIRC you can get a quick release kit for them so that removal is easy too for those maintenance jobs.

Here you go - http://www.whiteline.com.au/ but Demon Tweak's also stock Whiteline gear, it may be worth a quick phone call to see if they are gonna be doing this
