    Interior Lighting

    Hey Guys,

My Astra obviousy has the centre interior light in the front by the rear-view mirror. Right.
But thats the only light it has.
No rear passenger lights or anything.
I want to add some lights in.
How do I get the passenger roof-handles (on the roof above the door) out so I can fit a light?

Another question, I want to do the kerb light mod.
Is there a load limit as to how many lights can be connected to the same circuit as the interior light? I wan all the lights to fade in and out.

    Cheers!

    hi mate,

PM Ffeog (geoff), he has done it, i will also try and get you a couple of pics of one (geoff) done. As far as i know it would be fairly straight forward to take a feed of the interior light.

Geoff, did you just add those to the same circuit that powers the courtesy light??

Sure did - any permanent live will do for the feed, buy you'll need to earth them to the negative side of the courtesy light if you want them to feed in/out and work with the main switch.

I've got 8 interior lights and these no loading problem on the circuit.

And to remove the roof handles - just twease out the two plastic pins (the oblong /chamfered ones) on the bottom edge and they they pull straight off.

I've got 11 interior light with no problems.
1 in each front footwell (2)
    2 in each door (4)
an extra 1 in the boot (1+1)
    and the standard 3

I went for a different location to Ffoeg for the front footwell lights.

Then i've got 2 in each door.

Then an extra one in the boot.
