    Mk4 - Bitch Locks?

My wee Corsa had what I dubbed "bitch locks". First unlock of the keyfob opened only the driver's door, second unlock of keyfob unlocked everything else. A bitch of a thing when you've two hands full of shopping bags, but also useful if the woman is driving and doesn't want an unexpected passenger or a handbag to go walkies at traffic lights.

So, is it possible to Tech 2 the Mk4 into behaving in a similar fashion? Does the central locking on the Mk4 even support locking/unlocking of doors seperately?

Take your lovely corsa along with £35 and see Mr Vauxhall Technician and ask him nicely to plug his tech2 into the car. Ask him to upload the latest programme from vauxhall and there we have it all done.

I took my missus corsa to have some work done and whilst it was there they upgraded the ECU and it was a one click open case. My missus phoned me up and complained as she didn't want it like that. I felt such a pr@t phoning Vauxhall and asking them to write over the ECU with the old programme. It took them 1/2 a day to find out if it was actually possible.

I don't have the Corsa now - I'm asking if it can be done on the Astra.

I may as well ring the speaking clock and ask it, to be honest. Our dealers round here generally struggle with anything more complicated than regular servicing.

I might give the local Vxl specialist a buzz and see if he can shed any light on the subject.

You'll probably find they won't be able to do it as its never an option on Astra's. The only way it can be done is by reprogramming the ECU. I doubt Vaux will have ever written it in anywhere so your talking about employing a programmer to write you a specific ECU programme. I just don't think its feasible mate. Sorry

I would say it's not possible also but with certain aftermarket alarm systems the instructions say it can be done

Can it be switched off on an 05 Corsa without reprogramming the ECU ?
