    Buying old skool cool

As you know eventually Im will be getting rid of my astra to buy yet another, I have been looking at coupe turbos but tbh I want one but not as much as what I have always wanted. And stuck into thinking if im going to run off with my heart before my head and end up in shit street.
I really want a mk1 astra gte with a c20let or a s1 rst or a mk1 golf gti. I have a real soft spot for these cars, but really worried about buying one and ending up with a car I can not restore due to condition and stress of sourcing parts.
what would you do and do you reckon I could build from scratch a mk1 turbo astra for around 4k to a outstanding condition

trouble with new cars or newer cars is they aint got no charicter like the mk1's ect, It comes down to a child hood thing were these cars were what I grew up round. Mk 2 astra I can not warm too, I just love the whole think of mk1 hot hatches.

I know exactly what you mean Brett as I feel pretty much the same but I have come to the following conclusion that as a second car that I would use on the weekends or special occasions I would say go for it, but what I would not do is be without a new car as it is just not practicle in the long run, as inevitably you will have problems and times when the old skool car will not be running and then the term S**t street comes to mind. Plus doing it this way makes finding hard to find parts not a problem.

I have mate but always had a soft spot for the old school stuff. and a mk4 estate would cost far to much now since My situation changed and I dont want to do another impratical styled car, I want a drivers car bu really would miss my creature comforts such as air con, elecy windows and comfort
