    Airbox

Sorry if iam being rather dim today not had much sleep last few days. I have a coupe turbo and i under stand that iam better off derstricting the air box and puting a panel filter oh and a vectra c air intake rather then putting and induction kit on.
    What iam after is
A: How do i deristrict the air box(i couldnt find it in the How to)
B: Whats the best panel filter
C: Whats the vauxhall part number for the vectra c intake.

    Many thanks

For the how to's on derestricting and veccy pipes - click my sig

As for panel filters the most popular ones are K&N (cotton) and PiperX (foam) - they both do the same job, just differing in the material used

Sri_kev - yes the part no.s are "gunnuine"

Wolleyman - it may fit straight on, but just cos it if a Cossie it won't mean you get it'll go like one . It will sound better then going the the de-res, panel and veccy route, but you may suffer a bit of loss that is inherent with open cones and astra underbonnet temps

You could have a filter the size of a elephant, but the engine will only suck in what it physically can via the vaccum created by the piston on the induction stroke.

So I doubt very much if the gains would be that significant over any other decent aftermarket filter.
