Question Anyone know anything about CCj's ?

Someone told me once that if the person who lived in your house before you got a CCj, it can stay against the property even after they have sold the house ?

does anyone know if this is true ?

and/or how to find out if your house has a CCJ against it ?

    many thanks

    I found this :

    http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Money...ion155157.html

As it says, any bad creidt/or association should be with the person, not the house.
It's just a matter of you having to say that that person does not live there anymore.
People will soon amend there records......although saying that we still get the odd bailiff letter and we've been in the house 4 years..

    This might help you

As said above I'd be surprised if the relate to a property rather than an individual, but even so they only remain valid for 6 years

yep the ccj will stay registered on the house, but it is all done by name, so the person who's it is it will stay with them and will not affect you.

best thing to do is have a credit score done if you want lets you know whats been registered on the house in names, bad payments/good payments etc.

thats the main one i know of and used to deal with back in my finance days
life's to fast to go slow. so get the turbo.
