    Stealth Sub boxes

has anyone got any pre fabricated stealth sub boxes in there mk4 astra??

i know i could try and make then myself but i would only end up wasting sheets of MDF and days of my time.

so i am looking to buy a pair one for each side.

just wondering how far they protuded into the boot and where i can get them from and how much are they going to cost?

if any one has got any pics then that would also be apperiated!

Excuse the old, messy boot carpet....

I also have a false floor which helps keep the box in place.
As standard they supply a pathetic velcro strip !

Got it at a show special price...but they do cost about £150 each
    from Auto Accoustics.

Oh, try and make a better job of matching the carpet
I have since retrimmed the floor in a better match.

    cheers coo

    £150

i was looking to pay less than that for the pair. second hand it then.

is just the front face of the enclouser MDF and the rest fiber glass??

not to fussed about the carpet colour as i would re trim the whole lot as i would be lookig at putting some more MDF to the side of the box to take in right up to the back of the rear seats so that i can mount my amps on the side.

one more question is your sub 10" or 12"

    another question.

if you didn't have the false floor to support it would you be able to get your spare wheel out without removing the sub box??

I looked at changing the carpet colour of the box because it did'nt quite match, found it very hard to try to remove.....found some Autoleads grey carpet in halfords that matches well.

Thats just a 10, the red mdf mounting ring is a bit big and overkill....I now have a different sub in it

Yes, as it is now I can remove two floor panels to get to the spare.

I must try and get newer pics up of what I've done...

    Flush like this ?

TBH with the materials and amount of time that goes into making these £150 is a small price to pay
