    Thumbs Up

I have Halfords 80w Rally bulbs. No problems what so ever.

    Are they for standard headlights??

I have the same as Paul - 80 watt rally bulbs from Halfords - although One blew the other night when I was filling up. Only had it a couple of weeks (although can't grumble for £6.99). To replace, I had to buy a standard 55watt bulb and in all honesty they look as bright (if not brighter) than the 80watt bulb

The 80 watts did light up the road better so I'd advise to give em a go - you can get Super Brilliance bulbs but imo they're not as high wattage as the rally type bulb. I think it'll be HID conversion for me eventually though....

I'm using 100w dip and main bulbs. The difference is quite marked. Have the beam alignment checked every service and have never had anyone flash me for dazzle. I've just bought a proper set of HID bulbs and wish I hadn't now as I've just managed to source a pair of Vauxhall Astra Xenon headlights and they take different bulbs My new HIDs arrive tomorrow but I'll probably use them for a while and fit the Xenons in a month or so. I'll be selling the kit then GsiLady if your interested. Cost £239 and has metal ballasts instead of cheapo plastic ones. I chose 6000k bulbs as they give more useable light than 12000k although the 12000k look a deeper blue. Normal OE HID bulbs are 4300K.

I'll be selling the 100w H7s as well

I have used the super brilliance bulbs from ghalfords and they were much better than standard, so worth a go.

Cos i think the rally ones are actually illegal for road use..
