accident at work - info required please

on Friday night at 6.15pm I had an accident at work.

The radio on the warehouse is on a shelf, and you have to step on a pallet to get to turn it off...

I slipped of the pallet and landed funnily with a box of paper going into my back....

no one was here and I laid on the floor for around 10 mins trying to get up.....

basically I hurt both my legs, my back quite bad and also hurt my left wrist....

this place is not health & safety friendly at the best of times, If I want to claim have i a good case to claim or not? can anyone advise.......

*not saying I will claim but my back is very bad today and I'm now sat at work on my own again *

you can make a claim at your current place of work but after the claim they could make things hard for you if you get me but if they do you can just take them to a Tribunal

i did this to a place i worked at b4 i got £9000 for getting hit by a cage that fell off the back of a lorry

Your work will have employers liability insurance, which basically means that any claim against your work will be paid for by their insurers, so you can claim against your work becasue it will be their insurers that pay your compo, not directly from the company. Go for it Hev, its obviously not safe and not compliant with H&S.

There's no point looking for an accident book it there are less than 10 employess -as they are not legally obliged to have one Over 10 it is a legal requirement

I know someone who work's where my other half does, a steel beam fell on him he got compo and then continued to work there

to be honest Danny I put some right hours in and work hard - apart from the odd visit to this site (it's the light relief I sometimes need to get me through the day)....

this place would be lost without me thats for sure - I mean it's now 9.15am and not a single person has turned in
