Right sorry about the story!
I bought my 2003 astra 2.2 in June this year, manufacture warranty until jan 06 and network Q till June06. I was very happy with my purchase from Blakes in Chesterfield at this point. After getting the car home i polished and cleaned the car and noticed two or three paint blister marks on both bottom arches. I phoned up and they said no worries bring we will sort it out.
Once i got there they said they wouldnt do it under warranty cos i only owned the car 3 weeks.
To cut a long story short after 25 phone calls and 3 trips back to them and me contacting vauxhall they said they would do it.
They did do it, but you could see the poor job slight mis colour and awful blow in line they re-did it but missed a blister mark. They refused to do that blister mark. After more phone calls and a 5 page letter to there customer care manager and MD i didnt get anywhere so i re-contacted Vauxhall Direct again. After a ear bending off them my car has now been done. So it's taken 4 months, 7 diffreent journeys and 2 letters and 56 calls and my car is done. all to get two arches done under warranty.
So what ever you do take this advice never buy a car from Blakes chesterfield and dont use the body shop there either!
