    Worst Stealer Ever!

    Right sorry about the story!

    I bought my 2003 astra 2.2 in June this year, manufacture warranty until jan 06 and network Q till June06. I was very happy with my purchase from Blakes in Chesterfield at this point. After getting the car home i polished and cleaned the car and noticed two or three paint blister marks on both bottom arches. I phoned up and they said no worries bring we will sort it out.
    Once i got there they said they wouldnt do it under warranty cos i only owned the car 3 weeks.
    To cut a long story short after 25 phone calls and 3 trips back to them and me contacting vauxhall they said they would do it.

    They did do it, but you could see the poor job slight mis colour and awful blow in line they re-did it but missed a blister mark. They refused to do that blister mark. After more phone calls and a 5 page letter to there customer care manager and MD i didnt get anywhere so i re-contacted Vauxhall Direct again. After a ear bending off them my car has now been done. So it's taken 4 months, 7 diffreent journeys and 2 letters and 56 calls and my car is done. all to get two arches done under warranty.

    So what ever you do take this advice never buy a car from Blakes chesterfield and dont use the body shop there either!

    Makes you think if the paying extra for a extended network Q warr' would be worth the hassle. Poss cheaper and less stressful looking for a half decent mechanic/bodyshop

    I totally agree, It was in the end the Nework q customer care manager that sorted it all out for me though. I have no complaints there.
    Also not sure if i would have had the same trouble if i went to a different stealer?

    How cheeky is this as well on two different attempts Blakes asked me to take it to a different stealer to get it sorted.

    I dont think warrantys are worth the paper they are written on.

    Hopefully happy mototring now and they wont be seeing any of my business ever again.

    If I had no joy with the letters I would have just parked my car accross the entrance to the dealer until they agreed to do the work.

    Be even better with the police there, imagine all that kicking off, be good for their business
