    Exhaust Banging

    Hi, Guys
Ive had my exhaust on for just under a year now with no probs
I recently lowerd the car 40mm
A week after having the suspension fitted Ive heard banging under car at the rear and centre.
Car just passed MOT no probs and bloke said cos it was stiffend it could have upset the rubber exhaust mounts as it can only be the exhaust making the noise
Would replacing the mounts help and has any1 else had this problem as i hate any noises that shouldn't be there
    Cheers

Try new rubbers as they stretch with age and it's probably your exhaust catching on the back axle, since it now sits closer to the underside.

Failing that, it may just need the alignment adjusting.

Its not catchin on back axle its only when i go round corners or hump back bridges that it catches
But the exhaust does seem to move more now than when i first put it on so replacing the rubbers seems best idea as it deff catches the floor and heat shield
So what would be the best mounts as too big a mount and as you said it would catch the rear axle?
I was told corsa mounts but im not sure? I did use the standard astra mounts though and as you said they probley worn.

    Cheers for the advice guys
