Are Astras as common as Fiestas?

I used to think Fiestas was the common car, everyone drove them. But now I see loads of people with Astras, MK1, MK2, MK3, MK4 and now I've seen quite a few of MK5s.

More common, don't see as many Fiestas as there used to be. Can't understand why. The MK2 and MK3 plus all the billion facelifts of it, were all pretty crummy, but these seemed to sell like anything. Now that a decent one is launched, they have lost their popularity.

The current Fiesta is actually a pretty decent car and better than the Corsa C.

I guess people just associate the Fiesta with crapness and can't get their heads round the current incarnation! LOL!!

Really depends on areas. Over here there's more Renaults than anything else on the road. Why? A very strong dealership network over here.

Vauxhall isn't as popular, as there's only a handful of dealers. For example, in Belfast here we have 3 Vauxhall dealerships in the Greater Belfast area, but there's at least 8 Renault I can think of.

Most of the Vauxhalls here are ex-fleet motors from the mainland. A good 75% of Vectras and Astras are all English registered ones brought in. Even mine was Vauxhall Fleet on a 52 plate, and was reregistered with a local registration when it arrived here at 6 months old.

the chain of vauxhall garages in this area do amasing deals on new vauxhalls, so the streets are overflowin wi vauxs of all sorts.
the latest 2 deals have been on new black vectras and new black corsas with tomtom, the local towns are flodded wi them already. ford don't do too well here in comparison
