    wobbly wheel.

    hi people,

my astra 1.8sport 3dr has its mot due tomorrow but the front driver side wheel has play in it. when you grab the wheel at the quarter to three position is has a side to side movement of about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch.
the car has rescently had new apex shocks/springs installed but i dont see how this would affect it.

does anyone have any suggestions as to what this is????

oh and also the same front lower arm was changed as the balljoint failed the last mot.

    cheers gazza

Movement in that direction is a sign of loose steering - so check all the nut/bots on the suspension leg and wishbone

try a waggle at the 6 O'clock position as well - if you got movement there then it's your wheel bearings
