    airbag suspension!

wanna get some airbags for my coupe

but wanna know how they work , not too sure

am i able to have three height settings for example

    1. for show effect , sat on the floor (lookin pimpin)
    2. for road use
    3. on stilts effect , for getting onto drive-ways , and jacking car up!

hope this makes sense, if this is possible i will be definitly bodykitting the coup, but if no the coupe stays standard

    cheers

Yes you can... get the latest copy of Redline magazine, had something in between the porn about air suspensions kits etc.

    *sorry for the plug*

    and
    http://rayvern.bigfathead.com/

But you may find it cheaper to buy one of the fast kits from the states and fit it yourself.

I will soon have airbags on my mk4 hatch. Similar setup, decked for show use and low ride height, will be controlled by touch screen as well.

You can have whatever setup you want, it`s upto you. I would go with rayvern hydrolics, as that`s who I`m using, very friendly bunch.

So in answer to your question, yes yes yes.

Watch the tracking and camber go to **** though, my m8's got a C20XE Corsa and it eats the tyres with Airbag suspension.
He's had the tracking done also.

IMO i dont think there worth it at the end of the day, as to regards of you having to throw more money at the car in tyres.
Also the airbag suspension seems to leak the air very steadily and need a pump up every so often while on the move.
Depending on which corner/corners need pumping up again, and as a added bonus if you dont insulate the pump somewhere deep down in the boot beyond a false floor and sound deadened it will be loud when its pumping up.

If i was going to do it, id be using hydraulics instead.

i wouldnt say the ride on airbag suspension is that good imo, given the fact that ive riden in the corsa with them on, it tends to jolt you about a fair bit.
Couldn't believe that it would be as harsh as it is.
When it comes to speedbumps the ones that stretch the entire length of the road i can go over them at 20mph and not feel a thing, my m8 has to slow down to crawling pace to get over them lol.

Can't really justify spending all that money on creating more problems just for the cool up/down side to side or corner movement of the car.
Also another thing to watch out for is, that when he put the suspension up so high, it had a tendancy for pulling the driveshafts out of the gearbox, but taking into account he'd had a c20xe lump dropped in and not having the correct drive shafts iirc it pulled them out.

Out of my own choice if i did do something like this, id rather have the hydraulic suspension.
Only downside there is, is all of the batteries and pumps they require imo
