    Interior Mod:: 1 (and 2)

    My new centre console arived the other day and today, I fitted it (with a few problems caused by mod number two. I also thought i'd move the radio as it seems more practicalhaving the "Junk" holder higher up. Easier to get things in and out of.

    No aircon Skot? I'd suggest looking at the Irmscher chrome rings as well, make a big difference in the appearance. Or the silver ones, whichever takes your fancy. Also maybe the CD holder in place of the junk box

    You can get the alloy look ashtray and gear surround and handbrake tray if you want.

    Yes Im looking into a CD holder, Vaux want Ł46 for it though. I'm sure I can get it cheaper. Unfortunatly no AC. Its not standard on the Sport and the SXi i was looking at with AC was Ł700 more. How much would an AC mod be? Is it expensive to fit?

    Also I am after the chrom rings and dial rings. I need a new astray too as mine sticks when it opens. Im not sure wheter to sell the old bits, or keep them and bang them back on when I come to sell the car?

    It'll be more than Ł700 to fit Aircon into your car. I'd be surprised if you'd get it for twice that. TBH.

    Bulbs are available from any Motorfactors, Halfarts or Vauxhall dealer. Pence to buy, bugger to fit.

    p.s. New dash looks sweet as.

    Air con is one of the first things fitted to the bare shell on the production line. So to retro fit it, you'd have to take out/put back quite a bit of stuff - namely amost everything in the engine bay and the dash.

    You'd be looking at serious pennies in labour charges alone.
