    Phone Pics (Why)

Why does my Nokia camera phone keep putting white dots on my pictures? It take a mint picture but I don't know why I keep getting white dots on my shots . My Nokia is a 6230i, I have the settings on largest pictures and best quality. Is it just the way the light is catching my camera phone? Thanks

    Picture with white dots....

Picture taken in the shade, or out the way of the sun.....

I took these just today, I missed a mint shot of a Kestrel bird with a catch of pray, it was too heavy for the bird to take off with so it was struggling, I came round the corner and it sat only for a few seconds as I got closer but my phone memory card was full. I had my window down right next to it then it flew off into the tree watching it's catch lol

yeah i'd say the exposure would be the problem, but the lenses used on camera phones arent up to scratch compared to up to date digi camera's so it'll just be the light & the sun being too bright for it.. try it indoors like i car park & see if the white spots appear with the indoor lighting?

I have that phone and the colour reproduction aint that hot, and you cant change the exposure. only thing you can do is pay more attention to the light when ur taking photo's

Sun reflecting off the bodywork onto the lens 'cover' which is the flat piece of plastic in front of the actual lens... take the back cover off the phone and try the photo again and see how it looks... should be a little clearer

Thanks for the hints . I am sure I found a setting on my phone so you can adjust the contrast and stuff, can't find it now though lol. I think it takes good pics. Just sick of those white dots. Thanks

Use the book you get with the phone. It has "instructions" in it

I've got a K750i and i have to adjust the contract and stuff when i take pictures in the sun cuz my pictures don't always come out very well when i put them on the computer.
