    2 warning lights?

a few minutes ago in my car, my abs light came on (abs surrounded by ( )) im assuming that was breaks..

and then another light which looked like a car skidding.

Anyway, these stayed on for ages, until i turned my engine on, and then they went.

Any ideas why or what it could be?

    Cheers

looks like your abs and traction control. Could be a sensor problem.

well, my car has been feeling a bit rough lately. It feels like its not pulling properly, and seems to be ticking over quite loud.. dont know if that could be related?

Usually it idles at about 800 revs, it was about 500/600 today

Would'nt worry about it too mucj. My traction light stayed on whilst I was driving it 1 day, so I turned off the ignition and it went. I feared the worse and posted a similar thread, but it has never happened again. Probabley just a glitch matey.

The warning lights indicate that there is a fault in your ABS and TC/ESP system and that they are disabled. If its an intermittent problem its almost certainly a loose connection to one of the hubs. If it bugs you jack the car up and make sure all the connectors going into the hubs are attached properly and secure.

I had the exact same problem on Tuesday with my astra. I jacked the car up and found out that the cable that connects the sensor to the hub had snapped. Unfortuantly the cable could not be replaced so it was time for a new hub. Luckly it only cost me £85.37 inc vat&del (vxl wanted £174+VAT). PM me if you wanna know where I got it from.

So the best thing you could do is check the abs sensors on the hubs as thats what was causing my lights to come on.

    Good luck

Lumpy running is a function of the Traction Control.

As stated, it's most likely a sensor fault.
