    air con unit

in need of a bit of help guys, would i be correct in thinking that the air con unit runs off the timing belt, i have tried looking into it but i cant seem to work it out, i would post a piccie but its raining , i need to know cos something in that area is making a noise (rattling), im guessing it could be the bearings in the unit, i also imagine that its a sealed unit like the water pump, its really driving me mad, i have been to 2 different garages and they said it was somethnig else and i know its not what they said because i have just replaced the part and it still does it, also any ideas how much i would have to pay for a new unit

The air con unit works off the auxillary drive belt not the timing belt.

    What engine have you got?
