My air con seems to be up the spout also, bought that stuff from Halfarts for £40, BIGGEST mistake ever, total waste of money!
Anyone know how much Vxl charge for a Air con service inc re-gas?

We charge about £75 for a AC regass/ basic fault find

scaper2003 your problem could just be the clutch on the compressor

What would be the typical faults mate (leak being the obvious one), I can get a re-gas for about £45 from a friendly garage but he told me not to bother as I suspect I have leak in the system. It was partially filled by a friend and that didn't last a month before totally running out.

Sorry for not replying sooner gonna be a bit vague anyway as i've only poicked up a little from work and tested one myself

The clutch is on the compressor and engages to pump the gass around. Bit hard to set really as it should have 12volts going to it with the engine running and Ac switched on

If you have a bit of electricial knoledge then yes you can test the wires going to it

I believe the clutch can be replaced on it's own without the need for a new compressor but alot of places will just want to replace the whole unit
