(car: 2003 astra sxi 1.6 16v)
couple days ago I was accellerating in 2nd (as you do), about midrange there was a dip in power then it came back. thought nothing of it
this afternoon, same thing accellerating in 2nd and hit a 'dip' in power then it came back.
this time I was in town and was stopped for a junction soon after, when i pulled away it sounded rough as hell! like spluttering (almost like a scooby, duggaduggadugga kinda noise) the engine management light came on and its been like that since. tried restarting engine, same thing. its VERY sluggish now whole car seems to jerk with the 'dugga dugga dugga' noise coming from exhaust. everynow and then the exhaust is like coughing a big splutter
i've checked the whole exhaust and its fine, the engine bay 'appears' to be all in order, theres an amasing heat coming from underneath the engine block up through the engine tho > maybe bust manifold?
I'm not worried too much as the car is still under warranty so i won't hopefully be out of pocket but anythin that gose wrong aint fine.
anyone any idea what it could be before i book it into vauxhall garage?
