    Talking My Track Day

    Where do I start!!!!!

What a day, got to Silverstone abut 2hours early, so killed a bit of time listening to the Jordan F1 car blatting about, too quick!!!! And some of the drift academy stuff too.

I had parked in front of a nice black Astra so the Mrs said we should flyer it, as I walked back over, what should be there....but another Astra, a red GSi. "That looks like Hev! Shit the bed, it is Hev!!!!" That was one hell of a surprise!! Made my day!!

Anyway, the driving stuff, had a half hour briefing session about what to do etc, then we were let loose in the Formula Firsts behind the pace car for a few laps to get used to the cars, then all 12 of us were let loose on a random grid. I started 2nd on the grid, managed to overtake the person in 1st after 2laps, then eventually started lapping people. Was 6th fastest of the day, with a time of 50:21.

Then on to the pub for Hev's fix of Stella!!!!!

Had an awesome day which I will never forget! Thanks to Hev for driving half way down the country to be there too!!! And a big thanks to Marlene for arranging it all for me!
A couple of photos, before Hev puts some embarrassing ones up!

Red ones go faster!!!! Ask Hev!

I'd love more than anything to do it professionally, and I'm already saving for my next day, maybe do rally next, unless there's a better track one out there.
