    removing the headlining

    hey guys and gals,

When i finally get back from america i have a few projects to be getting on with so thought i'd ask now so i can get on with it right away.

How do i got about removing the headlining? i'm assuming all the a b/c and d pillars will need removing, and i'll remove any screws such as those in the sun visor mounts and "oh shit" grab handles. but what else is there holding it in place?

from my experience of building cars i know they tend to fit the roof lining before the car is glazed, but i think it should fit out the door easy enough (thank god for the wide doors of the coupe!)

so any tips/anything i should know? (and don't say don't crease it )

geoff knows i'm too lazy to search

lol - normally i do but am at work at bmw, so spend as little time here as possible!

    cheers matey

edit - although he actually didn't ever remove the headlining.... he only got it down enough to slip a sensor in. i need it out the car! seems like the only problem he had was with the sun visors though. i can probably figure it out without too much hassle.

I see you've been at BMW for too long and are adopting their attitude. Save yourself - come home NOW.

The "greek connection" informs me it all came back very nice indeed

easy job.. a/b and c pillar plastics off.. sunvisors off.. grab handles off

Then its pull from the back as its velcro'd at the back.. the front will just drop with the visors.

Easier said than done on a coupe Nick but I have faith that once it's loose it will fit out the front doors, we have had bigger out at work
