    18s with ET38.

Getting my 18s on thursday... there 7.5 wide on a 38 offset. They will go on fine i know but im considering lowering in the future prob 30-40mm. Anyone had any rub probs on a coupe with this sort of set up?

Andy, i've got 8x18 et35 rims and lowered approx 60mm on coilovers. I don't get any rubbing at the back even when 4 up. Only catch on front arch liners when cornering hard ie roundabout.

    you'll be fine for 30/40mm

This will save me starting a new thread.

Am looking at some wheels for my hatch with the same sizes as Chris 8x18 et35 using wobble bolts. Now will I have the same space to play with like Chris or will I have to start hacking away, bearing in mind Chris has a coupé?

dont forget that tyre size is just as important when you are talking these sizes.

cperson is running skinny 215/35/18's on an 8'' wide rim iirc. This will give you the euro look with the rim sitting more pronouced than the tyre.

hatch has a lot less space Dave, its still do able with 215's and you will need to roll your rear arch being a hatch.
