    Car Data

    Just had my insurance renewal through from tesco, and they have my car listed as Vauxhall Vectra 1.9D Cdti 120. Now when i bought the car, i specifically stated i wanted the 150 version, and was told that mine was a 150 because it has the t and i in red on the badge. Is there any way i can double check which engine i have got, as i'm not entirely convinced now, which engine i have. I must admit, it feels a lot faster that my 100bhp 2.0 DTi astra, but now i'm not sure.

    I'm hoping tesco's have got it wrong on there system, but where do i stand with regards to vauxhall if it is only a 120?

    if it is only a 120 they have to take it back and get you a 150 or your money back

    now if you get you chasis code then call another VXL dealer and speak to the service department say say something along the lines of this

    "Hi i was wanting to findout a price for a service on my car. I am unsure if it is a 120 tdi or a 150 tdi with regards to the price"

    they should then tell you by checking their system as the chasis number will show what it is

    give that a try

    Just browsing through the service book and the engine code i think is Z19DTM - now the handwriting is not great so can't be 100% sure on that, i'm just gonna try and find out what that relates to now.

    120 = silver t and i

    150 = red

    I have a spare set of red ti so dont trust 2 little chrome letters.

    does the rac car data check tell you the (120/150) part, or even the v5? as the bhp is quoted in the car description on these
    why do today what you can...... I'll finish this later

    2958cc was 175BHP @ 4000rpm, 370Nm (273lb.ft.) @ 1900rpm NOW 230BHP/469Nm (344.9lb/ft)!! www.IUsedToOwnTwoAstras.com

    rac doesn't v5 doesn't, however from reading the handbook, i think Z19DTH does relate to the 150 version. This is still niggling at me though so i will probably phone vauxhall and do what craig suggested.

    That engine code put into google shows it as a 150PS engine and not a 120

    I would assume tesco has an incorrect database as they had my golf down as a 115PD TDI unit in it

    cool, cheers craig i'm not gonna argue with tesco, if they wanna insure it as a 120 then i'm happy with that. I was actually hoping it was only a 120 for a while, i was lookign forward to complaining and getting an extra 30bhp, oh well, i suppose i'd best save up for a chip now.
