I took my EGR valve off today to give it a clean. There was a large build up of carbon on the inside, so i got rid of all of that.
What i'm wondering, is should I be able to press the valve inside in, or is it meant to not move at all until the electricity is applied etc. I'm not sure whether its got stuck in the closed position or not, and thats whats causing problems.
I have to say, physically from the outside, it looks like its seen better days, theres a lot of rust on the base of it, and i'm getting symtoms like theres something up with it- but no warning light.
