Screens that will fit the sat nav console with ease

    Hi guys

I have a brand new sat nav centre console however im having major problems finding a suitable screen. Most have buttons on the side or bottom which will no longer be accessable once the screen is in place which i can see as a major ballache.

Anyone know what screens are good apart from the genuine vaux ones that need the unit?

    Cheers!

You could always extend the buttons by getting a printed circuit board with the options you need, and just solder the wires down and maybe put them in the astray. Somebody on here has done that. Or.... look at the images of my screen on here... http://photobucket.com/albums/a34/richierich23/ I have a remote control for mine.

If you want one like mine speak to Mike on this website or look for his post in the sale section.

...just a thought, but dont most screens come with a remote that will perform all the functions of the onboard buttons (and more)? So you probably just need to keep the IR reciever eye visible - and I believe most have that on the front, normally close to the screen so hopefully that souldnt be too much of a problem?

get a barebones lcd screen, can be pricey but the image is great. with them you get a bare screen attached to a pcb board, no clumsy plastic casing etc to try n trim down or remove to get the screen to fit.

standard size is about 5 inches - I think you'll struggle to find one that size...

I think it' about 6.5inch max for that console.
You will have to dismantle and fit yourself - a fair bit of work.

    Search for better options
