    front wheel bearings

Finaly managed to fit the rear bearings, only to find its the front are these hard to fit and do you need any special tools? i think that it them as theres a droneing thats related to the road speed, does anybody else have any ideas what it could be? if it comes to it has any body had it done at vauxhall?how much? thanks for the help when fitting the rears lads.

Firstly check they that they do need doing - jack the car up and holding the wheel with your hand's in the "six o'clock position" rock the wheel in on out - if you can feel any play, then it's the bearings.

As for changing them - it's pretty much the same process as the rears, in so much as the whole hub assembly need changing. But there are a few more bits to undo to get at it: such as bottom wishbone joint and drive shaft etc.

You'll defo need a torque wrench for this (as with the rears) for refitting - especally the drivshaft nut - this is F'tight and requires a certain sequence when tightening up or they will buger up quickly again if done wrong. More page ripping at Halfords eh :wink
