    Temporary car - New Astra.

Ive been given a new Astra 1.9 cdti (120) Elite Hatchback to use for a while through work.

Must say I wasnt that impressed with the seating position (lack of movement), but after 3 days, Im now really enjoying everything else about the car.

It has full leather, cruise control, auto headlights (handy when you forget), heated seats and alloys.
The engine has bags of torque and isnt sluggish or underpowered.

Its enjoyable to drive and makes a change to my car. Its nice to be able to not care about where I go, where I park and the general paranioa I get when Im in my own car.

Changing into the Astra SRi 150 cdti sportshatch next week too

    Byron -You'll like the 150 a lot!
What do you think of the handling?
Has it got a "sports button" and therefore sports pack?
Also find the auto lights handy.
Does it have a 6 speed 'box (mine has)?

No SPORT button, although next weeks car will.

Handling is surprisingly good considering the standard ride height.
It has the 6 speed box too, which is a nice touch.

Was going to get a new 3 series today, but as this has loads of diesel left im happy to continue using it.

Any Gun Wharf car park gen? That's the only place I ever forget.

Wish my work would give me a car to use though, I sat in a Sportshatch the other day and really liked it. The new ones seem a lot better spec'd than the MK4s, certainly nice to drive about in something different for a change.
