    Insurance Companies

well as most of ya know i changed my car to the GSI and when it came to renew my insurance vauxhall were to expensive so i tried quinn direct who gave me a quote for £1600 which i thought was a bit high but still were the best quote id had anyway i took out the policy just cause i was so excited about getting the car and never read over the details doh it just so happens that i had put down the wrong no claims discount and i rang them up and got it sorted out today they phoned me back to tell me that they owe me £1061 and some pennies whoo hoo im expecting my insurance to be about 500 this year.

so the vxr is looking very good at the mo!

Despite all the horror stories, insurance companies are pretty reasonable. I did the same with the AA - I thought I had 1 year NCB, Vauxhall had given me an extra free. So the AA gave me £50 or so back.

Shouldn't be a huge lot more, if any. Insurance groups seem to go by engine and car size. Considering both are the same model with a 2 litre turbo and only 40hp more in VXR you're probably only looking an extra group or so.
