    Producer...!

Hi all, desperate for some info on behalf of my g/f brother please. He goes with his mate every sunday to a local motocross track taking there bikes in his mates dads van,he was stopped by the plod and issued with a producer, his mate stressed that he was covered to drive the van, which he has done so for the past six months on his so called mates word, but he's just discovered that he wasnt insured to drive the van...! what he wants to know is what can he expect... points and fine wise? He`s totally gutted because he`s just paid out for a audi tt his insurance has cost him a fortune on his clean licence as it is.
    regards
    chris

Think a mate of mine got 8 points and a fine. Just depends how harsh they want to be when and if it goes to court i think.

also - when it goes to court his 'mate' should take the blame and explain the situation - they might be understanding and let him off lightly. Worth a try

    It sometimes is tbh.

I've lost all faith in the British justice system recently.

His 'mate' will have to stand up and take the blame - if he said he was covered, he should have sorted it out! Its not fair to expect your girlfs brother to just take it, when the only argument against him is that he should have made sure - but you trust your friends and his mate betrayed his trust and needs to sort it for him. If he tells the police they might be understanding - seems a bit pointless to take it all to court...
