    Astra G 1.8 Sri a little juddery

    HI

I have a 51 plate car and at the moment the car doesnt feel like it used to. What I mean is, When I let of the gas completely then reapply my foot I get a slight judder (the rev counter needle goes down then up) Its not a massive judder just not smooth.

Changing gear is not too bad but changing down seems to be a little harder, especially 2nd gear, jerks a bit when letting the clutch off.....

The car has done 41k and is due a service now...

Could this just be down to needing a service as the plugs have never been changed, or could it be something more serious.

Ive looked at the throttle body and just given it a clean with some kitchen roll around the insides ( just above the butterfly)

Is carb cleaner better, where do you spray it???

So let me get this right

    Engine OFF.

    Remove PIPE

PUSH butterfly manually open and spray carb cleaner down (how much???)

    Reattach pipe and start car

yep you have it mate spray as much as needed to clean most of the carbon off do this when the car as cooled down so you can open the butterfly with out burning your self and that will sort it out also give the pipes that go into the tb a clean with card cleaner to clean carbon out of them as well then the car will be fine after a run
