    brake discs

I am changing the front brake discs on my astra coupe, I can't budge the screw thing holding the disc on. I have tried really hard but am scared of sheering the head, any tips?

    Any of the below

Warm it up with a blowlamp - just play it over the screw head
Give it a dose of wd40
Use a socket, with the correct size screw driver bit on it, for leverage

When you get it out - grease the threads before you put it back in

It is quite badly sheared, and still not off, what can I do to remove it safely, already coated it in wd40!

oh dear - from the sound of it you only option (it has rusted solid) would be to drill the top off: Just enough to get the disc off and the get some mole grips on the remainder once the disc is out of the way.

    No probs, mate.

I'd' stick a new one in anyway - or you're gonna have an even bigger ballache come next time.
