Well i had a great Monday this week. Firstly i had to go to hospital in the morning, only to be held up in traffic on the M11 for 2hours going nowhere..for which was the start of a totally extrodinary day!!! After that all was going well!! Went to see Coldplay @ Crystal Palace in the afternoon/evening, was a bloody great concert, they are even better live than they are on CD, had Supergrass as support act, and another band for which i cant recall their name! Was superb, got there about 4:40, lovely day, sitting pretty much at the front of the crowd, sun out and beer in hand!!!
Then we started to make a move when Coldplay came back out for encore, walked to the train station whilst still being able to hear them blasting out there music, great atmosphere. We got an alternative train back, as there was an almighty queue for the train we needed! Got on the train and was unbelievebly squashed, and just as we got into London Bridge, some moron pulled the emergency stop chain, so we were stuck on the train for longer because the doors wouldnt then open!! Once we had got off their took a few further tube rides and got back to London Liverpool Street, all going well, went to Maccy D's while we waited for next train. We got on the train for 00:03 to Bishop's Stortford, this was at about 11:35, so abit of a sit down on the train before we got going. Just as the train is about to go, a fight breaks out by the door of our carriage, some guy had legged it to the train and held the doors open for his girlfriend to catch up, whilst also four other people were running for the train and jumper on at the same time. Well the attendednt saw this and came running along and pushed this guy inside the carriage, before this guy getting back up and giving the attendent a few good punches. Securityu followed up and took the guy under control and the attendent came after the other four bystanders who happended to board the train at the same time accusing them of being involved, and they rightly pleaded their innocence. The attendent says that he will cancel the train and call the police if they do not remove themselves from the train, so they remain on the train and rightly so, they hadnt done nothing wrong. So 20mins later the police turn up and after a while of getting everyones story, they take the side of the bystanders only for the attendents to remain adament that they were involved and that they would not let the train depart leave unless they were escorted of the train. So the decent people that they were, they got off the train in order for the rest of us to get home. Well we finally leave the station at about 00:45 only for 5mins later we come to a halt and half the lights to go out on the train. Could this really happen to me and my mate al in one night!!!
Anyway we were stuck in standstill for a good hour or more, and by this time the train had lost all lights and we were sitting in darkness, before being evacuatred from the train due to big overhead power problems!!! We had to walk to the full length of the train in darkness to the front to get off, then had to walk a good half a mile on the track to the next station! We did find this quite amusing, because we thought we were dreaming all this, we really didnt think that all this could happen to us in this short space of time!!!! We reached the station at 02:30 then grabbed the first taxi, which took us to Sawbridgeworth, didnt really wanna waot around any longer for transpot going more local, so we thought feck it, and just got on it!! then we got picked up from Sawbridgeworth form my dad, and finally got home at 03:05!
And still now, i cant quite believe that, that really did happen, just as well my mate took pictures of most of it on his phone!!! Was definately the weirdest day of my life!!!!
P.S sorry, just read it all again, bloody long thread!!!!!!
