Non Astra owners ... car updates

Thought it would be a good opportunity to see how the non-astra's are getting on. Any plans, how plans are going, any grumbles, dislikes/likes on the new motor.

Signum - I'll hold off my review until Friday - when the remap goes on.

Focus - I've washed it tonight for the first time in 6 months. It is apparently silver! - either that or its stripped to the metal. Cant break the damn thing, though with the aircon on it is slow, the aux belt squeeks when it starts and stops and it has a tendancy to stall. Turbo is still going strong despite the occasional drop in to 2nd at 60mph + and having the rev needle wanting to snap.
why do today what you can...... I'll finish this later

    2958cc was 175BHP @ 4000rpm, 370Nm (273lb.ft.) @ 1900rpm NOW 230BHP/469Nm (344.9lb/ft)!! www.IUsedToOwnTwoAstras.com

Leon - Mildly tuned still but not setup for Bigger turbo and chassis mods, including Porsche bits as always Umming and ahhing about doing it though, as i want to keep it useable daily and plough money into a proper project car. Drive is nice, handling good for standard, although the interior is alittle rattley

Mk4 golf needs wheel refurb, and new suspension as the old uprated shocks and springs are terrible (bad buy there) Needs these bits done to be sold on around winter time. I may do the boot install as well if I get the chance (wires all are all in, just needs MDF etc.

Mk2 golf needs some TLC as well Needs a service, front brakes, wheel bearing, and tax. Then Thats going as well as I have my eye on a new run a round

E46 330 coupe - No problems with the supercharger or any other mods for that matter. Car runs as if it were straight from the factory, Despite a few track and several pod days. Only annoyance i have with the car is a rattle coming from the rear parcel shelf, apart from that its all good.

E46 M3 - Ordered and should be here in September. Will be able to settle one and for all if an sc330 is quicker or not. Will post up some nice racing vids to compare the performance. Me vs the GF.

    A4 Cabriolet - 2.4 V6 Sport.

    Gripes.

The seat adjuster to move the seat back is crap. (Badly Positioned)
Reversing is a challenge. Even for a man.
With a full load, its too low, hit the bottom on a speed bump.
It eats petrol in stop, slow, start traffic.

    For.

    Its so refined.
    Looks good.
    Well built.
    Good value for money

E46 330 Sport Convertible: Going very well currently, have nothing to grumble about, the car had a mini disc headunit in it when I got it, so i replaced that for a stock CD player, there good though as there made by alpine! The ipod kit is working well, I have ordered the newer Snooper with a built in Modem, so should get that soon, Still waiting on the V5 for the car from the DVLSLOW so i can get my plate on it, other than that, Ive arranged to have the subs put in the boot in a very discreet yet tasteful build which will focus the bass through the ski hatch for maximum effect. No other mods, got an M-Tech handbrake sleeve on order!
