    Car Buying Advice

Right imma looking at buying a 1.8 SRi (Mk 4) 3 door!!!

seen quite a few for sale around the 5K price tag!
1 problem there all like 02 reg which is what imma after but most have done between 77k and 120K

Thats alot on a 3 year old car!!

What kinda money would it be to put a new engine in or wouldnt it be very advisable

    Thanks for ya helps peeps

yes that is above average milage but if the engien has been serviced regularly then 80K is nothing to worry about on the modern vauxhall engines.

they are good strong engines that will last forever if looked after

Not a bad price at that, although it depends on whats been done to the car....i.e. service timing belt etc. and also what the warranty is like thats being offered.

Hmm, 5k for 77k seems a little steep

    I paid 3.5k for a 90K one.

5k does seem a little steep to me, cause I payed just over 8.5k for my six month old car with ~10k on the clock, which was NetworkQ, this was over two years ago now. If 5k for 70k miles, that would mean my one hasn't actually depreciated that much as its a 2003 car with ~40k now.
