    Clock problems....

Hey ive had my Astra MK4 for about a month now, and i have noticed that on some days when i turn on the car the clock on the display is about 10 -15 mins slow.
I have changed the time to the correct time so many times, but it still keeps going back.

I just noticed the other day when i had the radio on, the wee clock symbol with RDS came up and automatically fixed the time.

Does the clock only keep upto date with the radio on? Or should it be correct on its own?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Cheers

The RDS adjusts the clock from the radio as you said, but it should do it even when the radio is off or if a CD or tape is playing.

Oh right, so do you think there is a problem with the battery or something which is why it doesnt stay up to date.

See this RDS thing, is it meant to come on when i have a CD playing?

its a problem with your radio not picking up the rds time signal - radio 1 is usally good for this. If the problem carries on u you will need to get a new head unit from vaux - i had mine changed under warrenty for this exact problem.
