I'm going to test one out - Only just bought a mk5 estate but I'm keen to try the VXR.
    I'm pretty sure it'll be a corker.

spec one up with the bits and it came to 23k!!!!!!bmw cab please!

but in all fairness it will be fast but it is alot of money, they will loose alot from new aswell.when you think the new ctr is out next year with an estimated 220bhp for less money.

But I reckon the VXR will handle a lot better than the skittery back ended, over light steeringed (!) CTR and will be a lot more sophisticated.
When you say spec one up, what extras add up to about £4k?!!

I specced one to 22-23k aswell, and it wasn't massive IMO ! Alot of cars start to come within reach at that price, especially if you have it on tick and the other garages sort out 0% !

If you buy a VXR for full list price i think the amount of cash you would lose over a few years would be scary. As ive said before it will make a great used buy but not a sensibe new one (imo)

Well we knocked off over £3k from list on our new Astra and got 0% (we paid 40% up front) - 0% wasn't even supposed to be available on our model!

I'm sure the VXR will need similar incentives - It's up against the new Focus ST and the Golf GTi after all.
