    looking for a filter...

    can someone give me a direct link to the k&n panel filter i need for my 04 reg astra coupe 1.8i, cause i cant find one anywhere.

    also do the filters come with instructions on how to fit, cause i have never changed the filter before and dont wanna **** things up lol.

    The panel filter you want is part no 33-2787 - info here - on that page there is a link to the fitting instructions, but it's a doddle to do anyway.

    thanks alot mate, planning on doin these mods next week , will it help my 0-60 times? and will i gain any Bhp form it?

    not so that you would really notice. it may be noticed on a rolling road but don't you will notic that it is any quicker when driving.

    i have derestriced my airbox fitted the vetcra C air intake and a K&N pannel filter and it hasn't really made it any faster but were it has a vast improvment is throtle response. my 1.6 16V used have a noticable delay between putting your foot down and the car responding this delay has reduced to almost nothing now it still accelerates at the smae rate just responds quicker

    try Road Runner i got mine from here very friendly service delieverd next day

    I'd echo the comments about Roadrunner (unless you can find cheaper locally being in mind P+P). But Roadrunner have nice ladies that serve you, who really know their stuff.

    Doing the full 'poor mans viper' (derestrict, veccy pipe and filter) will librate a few more horses but, as said, not so you'd notice. But you will notice better pick up on acceleration.

    but the guy i spoke to was very helpfull and knowledgable

    cool, got the panel filter for £42 from a shop called superspeed, gonna get the veccy pipe and adapter tomorrow and fit them.

    has anyone else done this to a 1.8 that can tell me what there results where fro mthis mod?
