    2.2 Coupe Airbox

    Hey guys, i cant seem to find any info on de-restricking the air box on a 2.2 coupe, ive found a tutorial for an Astra G 1.6, is it practically the same as what id need to do on my 2.2 coupe

    Exactly the same (almost) except that one of the pipes is 'fabric' and held on by the mothers of all staples. Easiest way to get it off is take off the whole pipe including the plastic end part, which just unclips, with force. Then have a fight with the staples and once these are vanquished and the fabric pipe is off, replace the plastic part.

    All that needs to be done then is wash the blood off and apply plasters

    lmao, ill try tackle that one my self tomorrow then, too hot outside, dunow here your all livin but its dam hot in the westmids, so happy my cars got air con cus its dam windy when ur doing a ton with the windows down hehe!

    done this on my 2.2 coupe.

    same idea as the 1.6 mate..jsut remove all the pipes in the box with force etc lol

    lol Ffoeg your right about those staples! they didnt intend for them to be removed! i had a pair of pig pliers on the tube and ragged the hell outa it! lol in the end the plastic tube broke and came out but the staples were still on!
    the vectra intake pipe was a bugger to do on mine! hope u have better luck!
    Fitted options: Folding mirrors, cruise control, dual tone horn, remap.

    Sound like you did it right.

    I ended up removing the bumper and headlight to do the veccy pipe as I came close to pushing something sharp through the rad on several occasions.

    there's not much room down the front of a 2.2
