Buy a Haynes manual - it gives step by step instructionas and all the torque wrench settings.

It's not a difficult job and should only take a very leisurely 2 hours tops

    Good advice from Ffoeg.......

You'll have something to refer too and it gives you simple step by step pics.

I've never done anything to do with brakes on any car, and i (with a little help from a knowlegable mate) did all four pairs of pads in around 3 hours.

Very good by the Coo - but torque wrench settings are important, especially on brakes (caliper slide bolts). too loose they can work undone, and too tight and they can be overstressed and may lead to failure.

    Good point Danny.

Vauxhall do a brake kit. Costs around £40 for the front disks and pads. If you disks look like they need changing get the kit.

The disk seperatley cost.............somwhere like £115 each!!!

Obviously if you disks are fine IIRC both front and back sets of pads cost around £35.

Jesus Keif £40 sounds really cheap, you sure? thought the pads on their own would be around £20 which means a pair of discs for £20 bit of a bargain if it's right.

It's a drive to get people to change their discs more regularly - if only they did it for the 308's they'd shift loads
