does an Astra and Zafira share Parts?

    Hi,
I have a 2001 Zafira 1.8 AT. What parts does it share with the Astra?
The Astra is popular here in Asia. (Philippines) but the Zafira is rare. I am having problems in sourcing out parts for my Zafira and I am thinking if some parts are interchangeable with the ASTRA. I beleive that the chassis is the same but is it identical?
    1) SUSPENSION PARTS? - specially the brake disc, brake pads? is it the same? Shock absorbers? etc..

Any feedback would be a great help.

    Thanks.

The Zafira shares the same engines and suspension...so yes brakes aswell.

The shocks and springs may differ because of the difference in weight of the zaf.

Adult Content Zafira and Astra parts

Would the Astra G with Z18XE A/T also have the same parts for the Zafira?

Locally, all the Astra's here are Club (1600 cc 16v) whilst mine is an 1800cc
Astra CD. Which is the same as the Zafira, but not too many of them here.
    They're badged here as Chevys.

What can you recommend to lower fuel consumption?
noticed that our Astra is a guzzler.
    Thanks!

Perhaps changing it for deisel? Get rid of as much weight as possible. Short shift your gear changes. Perhaps think of a dual fuel conversion? But if parts are hard to come by I wouldn't recommend it.
