    My latest Ebay Bargains

Yesterday I won a B&M Short Shifter for my astra G. Got it for £80 + a bit of p&p, it arrived this morning in its original box and not a scratch on it.

Tonight I won a pair of Sun Visors with the lights in, got them for £11.09.

Considering the B&M for the early astras cost over £200 new at the moment, I think that aint bad at all.

    Going to be busy all day tomorrow fitting;

New handbrake and gear lever gaitors.
New handbrake with chrome release button and Irmscher Handbrake cover.
    Arm rest
    Chrome Gear lever surround
    Short Shifter
    A/S Stickers (Very Important).

Will be taking the front seats out as I need to remove the centre console.

Why do you need to take the seats out? For the quickshift? Speak to Dannysport18, I know he's fitted one to his G.

B&M was a good purchase mate much better than those poxy little bracket things that get hidden near the gear box. That'll be a sweet mod

I had a Richbrook chrome gear surround, thought it was a tad too shiney, you can dull them down with scotch bright, if you run round carefully it gives it a brushed stainless look

I know you don`t have to remove the seats for the short shifter, but I have a new handbrake that needs fitting as well.

The whole centre console/tunnel removes very easily without having to remove the seats. Theres only 5 torx screws that hold it in. 2 at the front in the footwell area, 2 in the back just behind the seats, and then 1 under the last finish panel nearest the handbrake. Obviously you will need to remove the panels too, and the one that surrounds the gear knob is held in with 2 screws, again beneath the last panel nearest the handbrake. Hope that all makes sense!

I sure am, going to re-trim the door panels next weekend.

Air suspension is going on in the next 2 months, depending on when I can get the time off work to take my car to Rayvern`s. They only need the car for about a week as the kit will be made in advance.

All doors being smoothed any day now, just sorting out the best way to fit external buttons as well as opening the doors by a seperate remote.

Custom rear bumper will be on by Trax, but is causing me major headaches at the moment, a one off exhaust system has been designed to fit the rear bumper perfectly as well.

Then comes the fun part, engine conversion and full respray.

Oh, almost forgot, LSD Lambo doors still going on but not in a hurry to fit these at the moment.

And there`s lots more to do, just wish there were more than 24 hours in a day.

    All good fun.......................
