    New member saying hello

Hi, I've been coming here for a while now, and I thought I should say hello finally. I've been coming here time to time since about november last year, I just aint ever got around to registering. I almost registered back around feb-march ime when I thought i saw a car I had seen on this forumm it was a baby blue type clour and looked amazing. It was in Huudersfield on leeds road, anyone know of that car?

Anyway my name is Dale, I currently drive my mums astra estate, Its nothing special since its an estate but I still have fun in it either way . I'm currently looking for a new car for my self, something more sportier and abit more powerful. Can anyone advise a Astra which would suit my needs? and also be fairly cheap on insurnace.

If you would like to check out my Astra estate, just check out my website, then go to movies. Theres a few vids of me driving about.

    Hi Dale

For sporty Astras you've got the SXi and SRi range for good looks and decent power. The 1.6 SXi and 1.8 SRi are competitive on insurance with low insurance groups.

The coupe is also a very attractive sporty model with the 1.8 engine also available so that could widen your ideas, but these are more expensive than the hatches.

    Hope this helps.

Dale, do you mean the ST170? If so the 1.8 will be slower. the 1.8 (latest editions) are 125BHP so you're looking at 45 less BHP, but considerably cheaper insurance.

The 2.0 SRi 2.2 Coupes are 135 and 145BHP respectivley.

From there you can get the turbo editions, but then you're looking at higher insurance.
This is all MK4s by the way.

No I was meaning the new Fiesta ST150, its the top model of the fiesta range. Its insurance group13, 0-60 in 7.9sec and topspeed of 129mph. But I'm not just gonna choose one over the other just over power. Also the fiesta is fairly new, I could get one for around £11,800 but I'm guessing a Astra sxi or sri would be cheaper to get?

So I'm just sorting through the pro's and con's
