    Unhappy 2.2 SRI Belt or Chain ?

    as above got a 2000 2.2 SRI has it got a Cam Belt or Chain ? when should it need changing

    the 2.2 is chain driven.

    i believe VX say every 80K miles but i'm not sure

    There nothing in my service handbook to say it ever needs changing - as long as you keep up with the oil changes at (or more frequently) than recommeded it be OK

    I assume that youve had the mod done though to the oil bar is it?

    According to VX HQ the oil sprybor mod (recall?) was done to those cars affected as and when they came in for routine service. As long as you've got dealer service records for the warrenty period, I assume (if they are correct in that statement) that all is well.
