Has been driving fine since light was on however today it started flashing? now it is really holding back any ideas? should know tomorrow but just wandered how much this could cost me

I believe the holding back will be down to the engine management going into 'get you home mode' Only a check on Tech 2 at Vauxhall will reveal the prob and this can be £30 -£40 depending on the garage just for the for Tech 2, hopefully the fault will be easily fixed for your sake! If the engine still runs with no strange noises etc, just a bit rough then it could possibly be a dodgy sensor or electrical connection?

Let us know how it goes!
