Anyone driven the Veccy C 1.8 CVT?

Is this woefully underpowered or a dark horse?

Only been in my Dad's best mates company one and hes no Alain Prost but it feels more of the woefully underpowered variety from my short and very unexciting experience

The 1.9CDTi 150, 2.2DTi or 2.2Direct are the only engines worth going for if you want to make decent progress in a Veccy C. The 1.8 is the smallest engine they fit, so figure it out for yourself.

Though, the new 1.8 they're putting in the new Zafira is due to go to other model ranges by the end of the year. It's got some funky stuff like a system very similar to BMW's Vanos, a new souped up version of Twinport, and output is up to 136hp from the usual 125-ish.

my brothers got the vectra C sri 2.2dti and that is suprising how quick it is. don't think the 1.8 lives up to the size of the car really.

    the 1.9cdti is really good.
life's to fast to go slow. so get the turbo.
