You can't get major noise without fitting a sports cat or cat replacement pipe.

You have to be careful, as a noisy exhaust without a cat will of course fail the mot.

Replacing the precat will make your exhaust system slightly louder as will what's been suggested above. But im afraid to say the Blueflame exhaust system isn't particuarly loud anyway so it won't make an awful lot of difference what ever yo udo.

A Bastuk exhaust system would have been the way to go if you wanted a louder exhaust.

    Ben

I have just fitted a de-precat pipe (after the turbo) and it makes a lot of difference, even on a standard exhaust as I can't justify junking a good system at the moment (been spending too much £ on the car).

Difference to the noise or the power!

Im very glad that the system i have is not to noisey becuase i can imagine it being a fair bit louder once the decat pipe is on.

Just fitted de cat down pipe and removed the huge center box, what a difference, it picks up so much quicker initially and pulls alot harder just under 4000rpm. and the noise, still got std cat and b/box btw, its a right induction noise off it when you floor it when it gets higher in the rpm range and just after letting off it makes a slight drone too, theres is a bit of a rasp off it too, im well chuffed with it.

Its still quiet when driving slow. On stone cold start up it sounds like a v8 chevvy! Brilliant!!

I think their speaking about the centre section not centre cat mate Ive got a Blue Flame system with Regal Precat and it is very nice and pulls very well.
